Within the framework of the Target Program of the CCI of Russia «Development of the Infrastructure for Informational Support of the Entrepreneurship on the Basis of the Business Information Exchange Network (BIEN) of the CCI of Russia» approved by Resolution of the CCI Board No. 98-9 of December 23, 2004, the Business Information and Consultations Center together with the territorial chambers of commerce and industry, representations abroad, OAO International Trade Center, ZAO Expocenter, ANO Soyuzexpertiza and several partner organizations is implementing the project «Virtual Exhibitions of the CCI of Russia».

This project is a multi-sectoral information resource of the BIEN, which aims to promote the access of Russian and foreign entrepreneurs and their goods and services to new markets. The resource provides the means for posting detailed graphic and textual information about the goods and services of Russian and foreign entrepreneurs  on virtual exhibition stands.

A virtual stand of an exhibition participant is a mini-site  which contains structured textual, tabular, graphic and visual information about the participant's goods and services and indicates the address of the participant and his reference data. The virtual stand is  placed in sectoral or specialized exhibitions and pavilions selected by the participant. from the Thematic Catalogue. The visitors of the virtual exhibition can receive full information about exhibitors without any haste or the time and geographical limitations  characteristic of traditional exhibitions. They can examine the products, receive other additional information and, if they wish to do so, get in touch and establish direct working contacts with the exhibitor. The participant's stand will simultaneously be placed in the system of the CCI of Russia which combines the sites of the territorial chambers, CCI representations abroad, CCI enterprises, associations, unions and partners.
